Fireline is a pre-waxed, braided cord consisting of gel-spun polyethylene which is known as the strongest fiber, per diameter, ever created. It has an unbelievably high tensile strength and has been recommended in numerous how-to articles on beadworking.

Crystal is a great choice for light colored beads, crystals and pearls.
Smoke disappears into your beads which is why it is such a popular choice for those who don't like thread showing. It looks very dark on the spool but is much lighter as you use it.

The 6 lb. tests .006 inch average diameter. Use a $10 to #12 beading needle. We highly recommend Fiskars 5 inch Precision Scissors.
